An evening dedicated to Indian classical heritage was organised on campus under the banner of SPIC MACAY. The distinguished exponent of Kathak, Lucknow Gharana, and bestowed with ‘Rashtriya Ekta Award’ and ‘Devdaasi Award’, Ms Malti Shyam, a choreographer and teacher, with a long association with Doordarshan, graced the school with her presence, and enriched moments of music and dance. She enthralled the audience with the beauty and rhythm of Kathak embedded in storytelling through subtle moves and emotive expressions. The evening created a deep understanding of and appreciation for ‘Kathak’ among students, and they expressed their gratitude with a thunderous round of applause for Ms Malti and her team.
