Under the aegis of the CBSE guidelines promoted by the Central Government, the Vice Principal spearheaded a special assembly on the balanced sugar intake in a student’s diet on 12th July at Rosemary Hall. She apprised the gathering about the bitter consequences of sugar indulgence, which results in lethargy, poor focus, and reduced classroom performance of a learner. With a vivid digital presentation, she further accentuated the health hazards caused by high sugar intake as it conspires sudden spikes and drops in energy. Overconsumption of high-sugar foods affects the neurological system, as it triggers the release of dopamine, a pleasure-giving chemical that further adds to the addiction to sugar. The students were encouraged to opt for a holistic diet grounded in rich nutrients.
