It has been an eventful six weeks for us here at
school as we ushered in the new academic session
2010-11. Orientation programme for the new
students, the buddy system to make them settle
down well, Freshers' Eve, new parents' visit and
the Parent Teacher meeting at the end of the
session helped all the new entrants to The Sagar
School to begin their life here on a positive
note. |
|
Intra class and inter house competitions in
English, Hindi, French, German and One Act Plays
gave opportunities for almost everyone to come
on stage. Debates at IIPM, Delhi and Bishop
Cotton School Shimla were memorable ones for our
debaters. |
|
Weekly visits, surveys and medical camps at
neighbouring Malliyer village are part of our
effort to make it a model village. Camping at
the Aravalis, factory visits, attending career
talks at school and outside were all enriching
experiences in our effort to give every student
the best possible opportunities for their
personality development. Morning and evening
games were held regularly to keep the students
physically fit and nurture their talents in
various games. |
|
Nine students and two teachers are away to
Albert Schweitzer Gymnasium, Neckersulm, Germany
for three week long exchange programme. Another
group of students will go to Egypt to see the
historical places during the last week of May. |
|
The Formative Assessment involving five
different activities for all the students came
to an end with a written round of short tests on
8 May and the students are away for a well
deserved summer holidays. |
|
The last phase of infrastructure development of
the school is in progress. The much awaited
Observatory, Radio station, outdoor Basketball,
Volleyball, Badminton, Skating rink, Climbing
wall, Equestrian, Soccer, Hockey venues are
getting ready during summer. There is a happy
time in store for the students on their return
in July after the holidays. |
|
The staff will return on 7 July for a three-day
workshop to begin the new term. The students
will return on 11 July and classes will start on
the next day. Wishing students and staff happy
holidays to enjoy, relax and rejuvenate. |
